Bio
Rodeo Ruby Love began in 2005 as a side project for Zachary
Melton. He began writing songs that didn't quite fit for his current
band, Away with Vega. With the help of David Buckler, Rodeo Ruby Love
took shape as an acoustic-pop band that centered around love. Many
people came and went before the first full-length, "Your Love Has Made
Everything Beautiful," was recorded. With only a handful of the original
band members, Rodeo recorded 11 tracks in 2 days. Not long after, the
official lineup formed as a seven piece. Sarah was later added on the
cello. And Mike Adams lends a hand from time to time to make smooth some
rough edges. In 2007, two EP's were put out on Crossroads of America
Records, "What Loneliness Can Do to You" and "Honest to God."
Summer of 2007 brought many shows, a 10 day tour, and the rising
awareness in the United States about this band. In
April, we will be releasing
our new full-length record, "Rodeo Ruby Love vs. The Great
American Cities,"
and carousing the U.S. with a two week tour. We have described our music as an
honest confrontation with love. We hope you can enjoy and appreciate
that honesty.
